Cooking Tips

  • Taken from the center of the tenderloin, our center cut 6 oz filet mignon is lean but flavorful. It’s the perfect cut for an elegant dinner, with a buttery, melt-in-your-mouth texture and a mild beef taste. Soft and thick, it’s considered one of the premium cuts of beef.
  • Filet is a versatile steak that can be seared, grilled or broiled. The mild taste means it can be complemented with sauces and butters or even served up as a filet mignon sandwich.
  • Reverse sear: liberally season steak with salt and pepper, cook in 225 degree oven for 40 minutes until an internal temperature of 12 is reached. Remove from oven then sear in a hot pan to develop crust.
  • Air fryer: preheat air fryer to 450 degrees, cook filet for 6 minutes, flip and cook for an additional 4 minutes.
  • Sous vide: for the perfect medium filet, preheat your water to 130 degrees, cook in water for 2 hours then quickly fry in a hot pan with oil to develop a crust.
  • A common question we hear: is tenderloin the same as filet mignon? The answer is yes! Our 6 oz filet mignon steaks are cut from the center of the tenderloin.
