For best results thaw your ground beef in the refrigerator for 24 hours then let rest at room temperature for 30 minutes prior to cooking.

Our ground beef is best eaten within 12 months of purchase for the optimum flavor and quality. For best results maintain a stable deep freeze temperature without fluctuations to prevent freezer burn or flavor loss.

Cooking Tips

Grass-finished ground beef is naturally leaner and more flavorful than conventional ground beef, which means it cooks a bit differently. Using moderate heat and a lighter touch helps preserve its juiciness and clean, beef-forward taste.

Best Practices:

  • Use medium heat, not high. High heat can cause lean beef to dry out quickly before it browns properly
  • Don’t overcook—overcooking leads to toughness
  • Season early. Give salt a chance to penetrate the beef and enhance its natural flavor all the way through
  • Let it brown undisturbed. Allow the beef to sear before stirring or flipping to develop flavor
