Cooking Tips

Grass-finished burger patties have a deeply beefy flavor and a naturally leaner profile, so they benefit from gentle, steady heat that builds a crisp crust without drying out the center. Because they cook faster and firm up more quickly than grain-finished patties, avoid high heat and pull them early—aiming for 140–145°F for a juicy, tender burger. A light brush of oil before cooking helps browning and gives you a more forgiving cooking window.

General Tips:

  • Cook over medium to medium-high heat—just enough to build a crust without drying the patty
  • Flip once and avoid pressing the patties to keep the juices inside
  • Rest for 2–3 minutes before serving so the juices redistribute
  • Season simply with salt and pepper to let the grass-finished flavor shine

Grill or Skillet Tips:

  • Preheat to medium and lightly oil the grates or pan.
  • Cook 3–4 minutes per side, watching closely—they cook faster than higher-fat patties
  • Add cheese in the final minute and tent or close the lid to help it melt
  • Pull at 140–145°F for the perfect balance of tenderness and juicy texture
