Cooking Tips

Grass-finished filet mignon tips are small, 1–2 inch pieces trimmed from whole tenderloins—giving you all the buttery tenderness of filet mignon in a versatile, quick-cooking format. Because they’re exceptionally lean and delicate, they cook fast and should be kept at or below medium (140–145°F) to stay tender and silky.

Cooking Ideas:

  • Tender Steak Bites: Sear quickly in a hot skillet with garlic and herbs for melt-in-your-mouth pieces
  • Stroganoff or Creamy Skillet Dishes: Add at the end of cooking to keep the meat ultra tender
  • Kabobs: Thread with veggies and grill briefly for steakhouse-style skewers
  • Stews & Soups: Use as “ultra-tender stew cubes”—add near the end so they stay soft and juicy

General Tips:

  • Sear quickly over medium to medium-high heat—avoid prolonged cooking
  • Add to sauces or stews in the final 10–15 minutes to prevent overcooking
  • Rest briefly before serving to keep juices in the meat
  • Season simply—salt, pepper, garlic, and herbs highlight the filet’s natural tenderness
