Cooking Tips

Pasture-raised chicken tenders are naturally lean, mild, and quick to cook. Perfect for fast, healthy meals. Because pasture-raised birds are more active, the meat is firmer and can dry out quickly if overheated, so gentle, even heat is key. A simple 15–20 minute oil-based marinade helps keep the tenders juicy, improves browning, and gives you a more forgiving cooking window. Cook just until they reach 165°F for the perfect tender bite.

Cooking Ideas:

  • Pan-Seared Tenders: Sear gently over medium heat for a golden crust without drying out
  • Oven-Baked: Bake at 375°F for tender, consistent results—great for meal prep
  • Grilled Tenders: Grill over medium heat for fast, flavorful strips
  • Crispy Tenders: Coat in breadcrumbs or seasoned flour and pan-fry or bake for a healthier “chicken strip”

General Tips:

  • Don’t overcook—tenders reach 165°F very quickly
  • Use moderate heat to keep them juicy and avoid toughness
  • Pat dry before seasoning for better browning
  • Marinades with oil, garlic, herbs, and a touch of lemon work beautifully with this cut
